The Virtual hall sculpture collection
The sculpture collection we have used at the Virtual hall project comes from Sketchfab. All of them have been modified and optimized by our team to ensure a fluent simulation and the best quality. We would like to mention the original authors according to the Creative Commom license that they use to share their models and thanks their generosity.
The sculptures come in a big variety of qualities, usually between 50 000 and 200 000 polygons. our Team have optimized them to 15 000 polygons the small models and 30 000 the big or complex ones. To do it the process have three phases: Correction of original models, Reparametrizations and polycount reduction, Detail textures baking.
Moøkan at Sketchfab
We love Sketchfab, and we would like to share it with you. Sketchfab is a website to share 3D models as we share video in Youtube or Vimeo. It is a light 3D engine on the web that is perfect to show 3D models and sites. It is a fantastic tool for artists and it is becoming popular also for museums, to share their collections with all the world. Some models can be downloaded to share the 3D files, so other artists can use them for their own creations.
Moøkan in Shantou Industrial Design Mayor Cup
This weekend, 6th and 7th of May, we are excited to participate in the Shantou Industrial Design Mayor Cup Fair, an exhibition where the results of the First Shantou Industrial Design Competition will be showed. The city of Shantou, located in the east of Guangdong province, close to Fujian province, is well-known from its industry, a big part of it based on the copy market. Now their industrial leaders want to change that and bring design talent to the locality. One of the first’s steps is this design competition and exhibition with more than 100 designs for the future category and another 200 designs that are already being produced.
Shantou Local Industry Association have invited us to join the exhibition and collaborate with local creators with our Real Time 3D team to help them to bring their designs to reality.
See you there!
New Website and Blog
Moøkan is growing, step by step. Today we launch our website and blog, to show and share our working experience through it.
We would like to make from this blog something more than just a company communication platform. We would like to talk about the projects we are developing, the tools we use, techniques and tips we learn during our work, and the process we develop. A place where to share and learn with other developers and creators and our followers, as we have learned in many other websites.
In this Blog, you all are invited to comment as anonymous or register user (to avoid comment approval and keep your preferences), to participate sharing with us your opinions and ideas.
